Carolyn L. Wells
Biography
Carolyn L. Wells is a servant, disciple, and minister of Jesus Christ. She is a licensed and ordained preacher of the Gospel. She began her ministry as a teacher and Bible study leader and from there God has sent her across the country ministering His Word.
Carolyn is the founder of Transforming Word Ministries. Along with her ministry team, she has traveled to states such Mississippi and Illinois conducting Bible studies and children’s services. God has used her to minister healing and life to people broken by the circumstances of a fallen world.
After serving as a traveling evangelist for many years, in 2005 God called Carolyn to return to Brooklyn, IL (the town in which she grew up) to plant and pastor Transforming Word Church. Under her leadership the church continues to carry out Jesus’s mandate in Matthew 28:19-20 “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you.”
Although God has graciously afforded Carolyn many opportunities, including serving on ministry teams to Africa, nothing is more important to her than her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The testimony of her heart can be found in the words of the Apostle Paul “But whatever was to my profit I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the righteousness that comes from God and is by faith. (Philippians 3:7-9)
Carolyn was married to her high school sweetheart, Michael Wells, for fifty-six years, until he went home to be with the Lord. She is also the mother of four adult children, Regina, Cheryl, Eric, and Marcus.
